My name is Kaitlin Farver, and I am very excited to continue my adventure with Clarkston Community Schools!
I believe that every child is capable of learning and achieving success, however they may define it. My mission as an educator is to understand and meet my students at their individual levels; to encourage their interest in languages and celebrate their uniqueness while supporting learning and exploration in a safe environment. Additionally this year, I will have the privilege during Opportunity Block times to work alongside our school social worker, Kelly Thompson, as I complete my counseling internship by providing mental health services to our student body. In my free time, I continue my own self-exploration. I enjoy yoga, gardening, reading, knitting, and spinning fiber, as well as traveling and finishing my Master's degree in School/Community Mental Health Counseling. My husband Nate and I hope to someday own our own farm- in the meantime, the experimenting never ends! Our little hobby farm currently has eleven chickens, eleven ducks, two cats, and two dogs, Nola and Gypsy. We are also stretching our entrepreneurial wings and, in collaboration with local farmers, provide fresh produce, yarn, eggs, and all-natural jam weekly at the Shelby Twp. Farmer's Market. |
